The American Heart Association's 5th Annual Orlando Research Day
Abstract Submission is Now OPEN
Orlando Research Day encompasses a full day of judged oral presentations by the Orlando area's brightest and best young researchers. It is a conference designed to allow young investigators the experience and the excitement of presenting their own work to their peers in a professional and supportive environment. Also, the event highlights the importance of cardiovascular related research and encourages beginning physicians and scientists to pursue these types of careers.
Orlando Research Day is a continuing education activity.
The program will include:
- Basic and Clinical science presentations
- Judging by an outstanding panel of the Orlando region's top physicians and scientists from our leading medical and educational institutions
- Awards for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place
Nemours Children’s Hospital will host the event in-person on Thursday, April 18th.

Fellows enrolled in a clinical training program
Residents enrolled in a clinical training program
Medical students
Research Postdoctoral fellows
Graduate students
Undergraduate students
Nurses
Nursing students
Registration is FREE and abstracts will be considered in the order in which they are received.
The target of research can be anything broadly related to cardiovascular function and disease, including heart disease, vascular disease, and stroke. The range of disciplines appropriate for this event is wide-ranging and can include basic, translational, clinical, epidemiological, population, and bioengineering research.

FORMAT FOR ABSTRACTS:
Abstracts submitted by the published deadline are reviewed by the Research Day Task Force. You will be informed via email as to whether your abstract has been approved for presentation.
